This versatile hotspot is far more than your typical pub; it’s a place where rich flavors, generous portions, and warm hospitality all come together under one roof.

The River Dog Grill's menu is a treasure trove of well-crafted American classics with a southwestern twist that hits all the right notes. Start your culinary adventure with their renowned Clam Chowder—creamy, rich, and packed with tender clams that deliver a genuine taste of coastal warmth, perfect for soothing any appetite. For fans of BBQ, the brisket sandwich presents slow-cooked, smoky slices piled high, inviting you to savor robust, mouthwatering layers of flavor in every bite.

If you’re craving something a little bolder, River Dog’s South Philly Cheese Steak stands out as a crowd favorite. Hearty, melting cheese blends seamlessly with tender strips of beef, sautéed mushrooms, and green peppers, creating a classic, indulgent sandwich elevated to perfection. Seafood lovers will appreciate the crisp, golden Calamari Fingers and the comforting Shrimp and Chips, each bite brimming with fresh, satisfying texture.

The bar menu is equally impressive, featuring a carefully curated selection of cocktails and beverages—whether you’re in the mood for a smooth Jameson Irish Whiskey, a refreshing Red Beer, or classic soda options like Cherry Coke and Shirley Temple, there’s something to complement every meal and mood. The spirited bartenders, like Shiva who’s been praised for her attentiveness and warm service, add a personal touch that makes every visit inviting and memorable.

The inviting ambiance captures the essence of a friendly neighborhood sports bar combined with a modern grill. It’s a lively space filled with good vibes, music, and the buzz of sports enthusiasts monitoring the latest games. Whether it’s a casual weekday lunch or a spirited weekend evening, the vibe is consistently welcoming. Guests often comment on the attentiveness of the staff even during busy hours, exemplified by Ashley’s dedicated service under pressure, ensuring no one feels overlooked despite the bustle.

Real patrons appreciate the generous portion sizes—like Kyle Jeng who found the taco salad not only huge but deliciously fresh, and Windy Flores who raved about the clam chowder’s rich creaminess and generous clam servings. While some reviews note that prices may veer toward the higher side, they unanimously agree that the quality and quantity make every dollar well spent. Louis Galluzzi Jr summed it up best by highlighting the enjoyable atmosphere, solid food, and good music, calling the Philly cheese steak “the bomb!”

From indulgent burgers like the half-pound Buffalo Burger served with crispy fries to flavorful South of the Border selections like Fish Tacos and Cheese Quesadilla, The River Dog Grill caters to diverse palates with authenticity and heart. Whether you’re here to watch the big game, unwind with friends over cocktails, or delight in a rich, comforting meal, this Bullhead City gem offers a dependable, flavorful, and spirited dining experience you’ll find yourself returning to again and again.

Ordered the Taco Salad and Clam Chowder. Also, I got some iced tea at the bar. I really liked the tacos salad as the portion size was huge, and it was tasty. Shiva, the bartender was great, and was attentive to my needs for more iced tea. She offered me and others at the bar the wings that someone else ordered but refused to take, which was really nice. Definitely recommend stopping by on a weekday night as it is less busy then.

This our second time coming here. We arrived just after opening & it was growing busy by noon. I ordered the bowl if chowder; lots of clams, rich, creamy & flavorful. My spouse had the black & blue; the meat was well seasoned. He added garlic to the side of tots, nice addition. The service was good, the gal was doing a great job tending to everyone.

Great atmosphere, good tunes, and awesome food thought pricy but once I ate lunch, plenty of food and delicious it was worth the price. Taco salad was good when mixed together the calamari was just ok taste breding more than the calamari and the Philly cdteak with mushrooms and green peppers was the bomb! Between 3 of us we spent $55 all in all I rate 4 out of 5

Reviews looked good, so did the pics. Tried out this place Monday for a late lunch. It was very, very busy...we were wondering about how it would go as it was pretty packed and only a single bartender/ waitress for about a dozen tables plus another dozen or so at the bar. Didn't have to wait long to meet Ashley. She took our drink orders and came back with drinks and took our food order. She was outstanding basically running the place on her own. And the chef in the kitchen consistently pumped out delicious food from what we could see and smell. Our food was excellent. Big burger and the Philly cheese steak. Thanks for exceeding our expectations.
